WANTED

Hey you.

Yeah. You.

I'm a poor, starving college student. And I really want some real food.
An actual meal.

And I'm running out of actual meals to make.

So if you have a recipe, or more than one recipe, and it's not one of the super-secret-family-recipes-that-can't-be-shared-with-anyone, then would you possibly, maybe, care to share it with me?

You would be my hero.

The cheaper and easier the better, but there are no limits.

It doesn't matter if it's a main dish, or your favorite dessert, or your great grandmother's sister's best friend's favorite salad or side dish.

THANKS!!

  1. Something that we like that is very fast is beef dip sandwiches. I buy (any type you like) some type of roll, subs roll, or what ever looks good at the bakery section of the grocery store, then get some sliced roast beef. If you go to the deli counter, you can buy what ever amount you like. If you're just cooking for yourself you can get 1/4 lb, 1/2 lb etc. I usually need a pound for the four of us and it makes 6 sandwiches. Have it sliced thin. Then get some swiss cheese slices. At home, turn the oven to broil. Toast the bun under the broiler (only takes a minute so watch it) take it out, put a slice of cheese on each side of the bun, pile it with the roast beef and put it back under the broiler. Only takes a minute again. Just until the cheese is melted. For the dip you can buy the au jus in a packet by the taco seasoning or in a jar by the soups. The jar would say beef bullion. I buy the bullion. It comes in granuals or a paste. You only need a teaspoon and add it to a cup of water. Stir and heat it up. When your sandwich is done, you dip in in the beef dip. We usually have this on Friday nights when I'm tired and don't feel like cooking much. I'll try to think of more and send them to you if I think of them.

  2. Cook some bowtie pasta (or whatever kind of pasta is cheapest, I suppose. I like bowtie. It's cute and tasty.). Cut up some green & red peppers and some onions. Sautee those in some soy or teriyaki (or both) sauce. Throw in some garlic and whatever other spice you want. Put the pasta and sauteed veggies together, and voila! Delicious.
