I love thunder storms.
And lightning storms.
They might sound like one in the same, but really, they're quite different.
Today, we had a thunder storm. Lots of rain, and well, thunder.
And all I wanted to do was dance in it. Maybe if it comes again I will.
Rain just has it's own type of beauty.
I love the sound. The smell. The way it looks. The way it feels, cool on your skin.
But todays thunder storm made me miss my Georgia lightning storms. I miss sitting on the deck in the back, in the hot humid night, watching the constant lightning flash it's spider web light from cloud to cloud in the distance.

Absolutely Delightful
I'm majoring in Child Development. Because of this, I get to spend a lot of time in the building where the preschool is.
So today, when I came downstairs from class, there was this cute little bakery set up. Just a couple of boards with a shelf for the cash register, and a chalkboard that labeled it as a bakery. Behind the counter, were 3 of the cutest little boys wearing aprons and chef hats. Before I could even think twice, their teacher, came up to me and handed me a penny.
With that penny, I proceeded to walk up to the counter and ask for a cookie. Promptly, the little boys took my penny, dropped it in the cash register, and handed me a delicious chocolate chip cookie... as they grew wide-eyed that there was an ever growing line of girls waiting to buy cookies.
I knew I picked the right major :)

Good Intentions
So sometimes in order to prevent something potentially bad from happening, you don't see other problems popping up...
Exhibit A:

So here's the story.... I went to buy chicken but instead of having the kind I wanted, they only had the refrigerated kind. 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts.
When I got home, I cut the chicken into pieces and put them on a cookie sheet to freeze them.
The idea was to prevent the pieces from freezing together, which I accomplished quite successfully.
But what I didn't see, was the pieces freezing to the pan......

Lesson learned.
